Artist Statement:
“I prefer a cavalier screen printing style, allowing for and delighting in mistakes. I reclaim and stretch my own screens. I abstract my ink applications by pouring ink onto open screens while using squeegees to invent techniques. I am careless with registration, resulting in misaligned layers. I like the ink to seep and run outside the rectangle. I use lo-fi photography and videography techniques by using my phone, and iMovie Screen printing is typically a highly technical process. My style is quite the opposite and is inspired by abstract paintings.”
